This photo retrospective is in honor of our friend and EcoHero, Bud Bottoms, who passed away on Monday, September 24. We were proud to feature Bud in our book Difference Makers: Portraits of Leaders in the Arts, Social Justice and Sustainability in 2014. He has a starring role in our upcoming film for the 50th anniversary of the Santa Barbara Oil Spill, Better Together: Through Oil, Mud and Fire. The film is our shared love letter for the volunteers, survivors, first responders and activists who have made and continue to make this community and our stand together so strong. We're sad that Bud won't get to see it.

It's been a joy to collaborate together, Bud. You inspired generations from Santa Barbara to Japan and beyond with your beautiful, humorous and powerful art and activism. I imagine your spirit frolicking with your beloved dolphins. We miss your laughter the most.
